The story follows Francis, a forty-year-old engineer who retreats to a village on Lake Iseo after a mysterious disgrace. He resides in a magnificent Art Nouveau villa with his young daughter, but the house harbors secrets, including the presence of another mysterious individual whose respirator echoes throughout the halls. As disturbing forces surround the villa, the film raises questions about the man's past and the dangers that threaten their lives.
