So 'Reverse' is one of those curious indie action flicks that dives into some pretty deep themes. You've got Salar, this kid who's wrestling with who he is, while fixing up cars with his buddy. It's got this gritty, almost nostalgic vibe, like a modern take on coming-of-age stories. The pacing can be a bit uneven at times, which adds to that sense of confusion Salar feels. The practical effects during the car scenes are decent, giving it a raw feel that I kind of appreciated. Performances are solid, especially the way they capture that father-son dynamic. It’s a different kind of action film, really more about self-discovery than the usual bang-bang stuff.
