In the year 2040, much of the Netherlands is submerged, forcing millions to seek refuge in Limburg. This haven offers a semblance of normalcy, but it comes with significant control from technology. Doctor Frank, portrayed by Bruno Vanden Broecke, assists individuals in selecting their ideal children based on genetic traits, while Alecto, an all-controlling AI played by Angela Schijf, manages decisions in daily life.
