The story centers on Péter Tamássy, a father who is concerned about his son’s singular focus on work and farming. Unhappy with his son’s serious demeanor, he decides to expose him to society before marriage. To ensure his son meets the right people, he enlists the help of Ria, an old love and a prima donna.
