The narrative follows Chandrakala, the daughter of a dewan, who is educated in England and living in America. She defies her father's wishes by refusing to marry the prince of her ancestral state, leading to significant family consequences. In a twist of fate, she disguises herself as a man to work as the prince’s secretary, navigating both personal and societal challenges.

A notable aspect of the film is its sequence set in America, featuring the character Premsingh, an Indian pilot who offers to fly Chandrakala and her entourage back to India in a Zeppelin.
