Rose

The film centers on Rose, a woman in her early forties who is raising three adult sons: Bernd, Axi, and Stan. Each son is at a different stage in life, with Bernd working during the day and Axi training at a bank. Meanwhile, Stan is still in high school but is more interested in pursuing a career as a DJ than his education.

Rose's backstory adds depth to her character. She once lived a wild life as a squatter in the early 1980s, a stark contrast to her current role as a mother and pulp fiction writer. The absence of her former partner Jürgen, who left over a decade ago, looms over her family life. Now, she grapples with the challenges of introducing her new boyfriend, Gerhard, to her sons, unsure if he is the right fit for their lives.
