Roses Are for the Rich

The film centers on Autumn, whose husband dies in a suspicious mine explosion. Fueled by a desire for revenge against mine owner Douglas Osborne, she takes extreme measures to ruin him financially and ultimately manipulates him into marriage by falsely claiming she is pregnant.

As the story unfolds, Osborne's mysterious death from cyanide poisoning leads to Autumn's arrest for his murder. Despite the charges against her, she maintains her innocence throughout the turmoil. With a cast featuring Lisa Hartman, Bruce Dern, and Joe Penny, this TV movie presents a gripping narrative of desperation and moral conflict in a small-town setting.
