Set in 35,000 BC, RRRrrrr!!! centers on the Dirty Hairs and the Clean Hairs, two tribes locked in an eight-century-long feud over shampoo. The plot unfolds when the Dirty Hairs’ chief sends his daughter Guy undercover to the rival tribe to steal shampoo, while a bizarre murder within the Clean Hairs tribe leads to an investigation by two hapless cavemen, Pierre with curled hair and Pierre blonde.

Alain Chabat, known for his work in French comedy and as a member of the comedy troupe Les Nuls, directed and acted in the film.
