Running Wild is an interesting blend of comedy and drama, though not without its quirks. The film dives deep into the tangled relationship of Liza and Eli, who are navigating that awkward transition between college life and adulthood. Their road trip is less about destinations and more about confronting the unresolved tension and dependency that's been brewing since childhood. The pacing has a very indie feel, meandering at times, but that mirrors the aimlessness of youth, I suppose. The performances have a raw quality to them, lending an authenticity to their struggles. It’s got that vibe of youthful escapism mixed with the inevitable reality check, really distinct in how it captures both the light and heavy moments of young love and friendship.
