Russians on Marienplatz

The film follows Edik Petrov, a Russian circus actor and immigrant, who steals a T-72 tank. In a twist of fate, he accidentally kidnaps Nartai, the tank's driver. While Edik has intentionally left his home country seeking a better future, Nartai finds himself in Germany against his will.

This film is produced by Eurasia Film Production, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Kazakh Cinema. The narrative explores themes of immigration and the complex dynamics between the two main characters, offering a unique lens on cross-cultural experiences in the post-Soviet era.
