Santa with Muscles is definitely an oddity in the action-comedy family genre. The premise is quite wild – a millionaire, played by Hulk Hogan, ends up believing he’s Santa Claus after a bump on the head. The pacing has this weird rhythm, a mix of slapstick and action sequences that keeps things moving while also feeling just a bit off. The practical effects, while not groundbreaking, have a certain charm, especially in the holiday-themed set pieces. You can’t ignore Hogan’s performance, which is both earnest and slightly ridiculous. The film tackles themes of redemption and the spirit of giving, albeit in a somewhat chaotic fashion. It’s not your average Christmas flick for sure, but that’s what makes it distinctive.
