In this film, Felix has become accustomed to short-lived relationships, typically lasting around three months. When his flatmate Jan moves in with his fiancée and his sister Regina cancels their planned holiday, Felix finds himself alone and in need of companionship. His friend Moritz, who is facing his own relationship troubles, takes it upon himself to help Felix find someone who is uncomplicated, forgiving, and independent.

Felix's first attempt leads him to Maja, who is wary of relationships but agrees to a casual affair. However, Maja has a secret—she has a seven-year-old son named Paul. As Felix becomes infatuated with Maja, he struggles with the reality of her situation, which ultimately leads to a crisis when he discovers the truth about her son.
