Sentimental Tommy

Set in a small town, the story follows Grizel, the daughter of the Painted Lady, who faces ostracism from her peers. When Tommy and his sister arrive, a friendship blooms, but complexities arise as Grizel's love for Tommy deepens while he grapples with his own feelings. After a series of tragedies, including the deaths of the Painted Lady and Dr. Gemmell, Grizel's mental health deteriorates, complicating her relationship with Tommy. Ultimately, Tommy marries Grizel, believing that she will despise him once she recovers. However, after showing her love and care for two years, their bond strengthens, leading to her regaining sanity and happiness.
