Sex, Chips & Rock n' Roll

The film follows twin sisters Ellie and Arden Brookes as they navigate the challenges of adolescence in 1965 Manchester. The story introduces us to their overbearing grandmother, who discourages them from working at the local chip shop, yet it is there that they encounter The Ice Cubes, a struggling rock trio.

Arden sees lead singer Dallas McCabe as her way out of their mundane surroundings, while Ellie has more grounded ambitions. However, the sisters' lives become intertwined with the music and their budding attraction to Dallas.
