Shap Mochan

The film follows Mahendra, a young man from a family of musicians who faces the consequences of a family curse. After his older brother becomes blind, Mahendra relocates to Kolkata to live with Umeshchandra, a family friend. There, he develops a romantic relationship with Umeshchandra's daughter, Madhuri, who encourages him to embrace modernity and pursue his musical talents.

Despite his natural singing ability, Mahendra grapples with the weight of familial expectations and ultimately chooses to leave home. His journey takes a tragic turn when he too succumbs to the curse, leading to a severe illness.
