Shree Loknath

The story follows Dr. Ajay Patanayak, a doctor who does not believe in God, and his wife Basanti, who possesses a deep faith and longs for a child. Their brother-in-law Bijay, who visits the Sri Lokanath Temple seeking blessings, plays a significant role in the family's journey. After Basanti gives birth to a son named Lokanath, tensions arise as Bijay feels neglected and eventually leaves the family.

As the narrative unfolds, Bijay becomes a tutor in Jaipur, while his love interest Laxmi marries a local Zamindar. The film takes a dramatic turn when Basanti and her husband's attempt to visit the temple is thwarted by a storm, leading to a tragic incident involving young Lokanath. The film delves into the emotional turmoil faced by the characters as they navigate faith and familial responsibilities.
