Shuvaa

Shuvaa, also known as Shuvashini, delves into the life of a girl who grows up deaf and mute. The film follows her journey as her father attempts to marry her off after successfully marrying off her two elder sisters. Shuvaa shares a deep bond with Protap, a young man from her village, leading to a marriage proposal that faces rejection from her father’s family.

The narrative unfolds as Shuvaa's father, after being insulted, decides to relocate the family to arrange Shuvaa's marriage. However, the story takes a turn when her new husband, Nibaron, discovers her condition, which leads to further complications and distress in her life. This film highlights the struggles of Shuvaa and reflects on societal perceptions of disability and love.
