Silent Hill (2006) is a visually arresting adaptation of the video game, capturing that eerie, fog-laden atmosphere perfectly. Christophe Gans really nails it with the practical effects—some scenes are legitimately haunting. The layered sound design adds to the unsettling vibe, while the performances, especially Radha Mitchell as Rose, are grounded in desperation. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but that's part of its charm. It feels like wandering through a waking nightmare, where the town itself becomes a character. Plus, the nods to the game's lore are a treat for fans, enhancing the already thick web of mystery and dread.
