Silk Stocking Sal

The story follows Silk Stocking Sal, who is caught burglarizing a townhouse by its owner, Bob Cooper. Intrigued by her confidence, Bob offers Sal a job at his importing firm, where she showcases antiques to potential buyers. However, the plot thickens when Bob's partner, Abner Bingham, is murdered, and Bob is wrongfully accused of the crime.

Determined to save Bob, Sal suspects mobster Bull Reagen is the real murderer. She cleverly plants a microphone in Bull's apartment, getting him drunk and provoking him into a confession. This pivotal moment allows the district attorney to intervene just in time, exonerating Bob and leading to Bull's arrest. In the end, Sal and Bob find happiness together through marriage.
