Sleeping Beauty

The narrative follows Carmela, a servant girl who becomes embroiled in a series of difficult situations after arriving at the home of the hypocritical notary Don Domenico. After being seduced by him, she escapes only to find herself under the control of a manipulative woman who preys on her beauty.

Her fate takes a turn when Salvatore, known as Il Nero, rescues her from this new predicament. He confronts the notary, compelling him to marry Carmela to atone for his transgressions. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Carmela's journey is fraught with challenges, leading to a tragic climax on her wedding day.
