Snare has this palpable tension that builds up from the first scene. It’s all about Seong-hyeon, a drummer, who’s just trying to find his groove before a big rehearsal. Then enters Won-tae, who disrupts everything by messing with Seong-hyeon's drum tuning. You can really feel the anxiety seep in as Seong-hyeon grapples with his frustrations and insecurities. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the viewer to sit with that discomfort. The performances really shine; it’s less about flashy techniques and more about the emotional weight behind each interaction. The atmosphere is almost claustrophobic, enhancing the themes of rivalry and self-doubt, making it a distinct watch in the drama genre.
