The film centers on a poor aspiring filmmaker who balances his work as an assistant director with distributing flyers. He marries a Thai woman who moves in with him despite the absence of a proper wedding. As she adapts to life in Korea, she faces difficulties in learning the language and finding work.

The relationship deteriorates as the filmmaker prioritizes his ambitions over his wife's feelings. His actions, such as bringing her recycled clothes and allowing their struggles to be broadcast on national television, lead to feelings of shame and hopelessness. Eventually, the emotional toll becomes too much for her, prompting her to consider returning to Thailand.
