Solemn Promise

The film follows Filip, a Serbian school director, who is summoned to Belgrade at the onset of World War I, leaving his wife, Lea, in a small town where they are unfamiliar to the locals. With no one to look after her, Lea is put under the care of Azem, an Albanian school attendee, who promises to protect her. Forced to coexist in an abandoned school, their relationship evolves as they navigate the challenges posed by the war.
