Some Like It Cold is an interesting blend of fantasy and dark humor, set against a backdrop of a world where zombies are on the run. You can feel the tension of the zombie apocalypse mixed with the absurdity of Na-hee's situation as she tries to navigate a society that sees Eun-bi as a threat rather than a sentient being. The pacing is a bit erratic at times, but it adds to the sense of urgency and desperation. The practical effects are decent, adding a tangible quality to the zombies that CGI often lacks. The performances, particularly by the lead, offer a nice contrast between the grim reality of their world and the oddly humorous interactions with Eun-bi. It’s not your typical zombie flick, which is refreshing.
