Sowol Road

The story follows Jumsoon, a 52-year-old woman balancing two jobs to support her son, Yonggoon, who has recently returned from military service. By day, she works in a restaurant, while at night, she engages in sex work on Sowol Road. The film highlights the challenges and harsh realities faced by women like Jumsoon in their struggle to make a living.

A pivotal moment occurs when Jumsoon intervenes to save another sex worker from an assault, leading her to meet a transgender woman who aspires to undergo sex reassignment surgery. This encounter opens up dialogues around gender identity and personal choices within a tough environment.
