Spoiled Brats (2021) brings a light-hearted twist to the family comedy genre. The billionaire father’s drastic move to fake bankruptcy sets a chaotic tone, highlighting the absurdity of wealth and privilege. The pacing is brisk, with scenes bouncing from the kids’ cluelessness to their awkward attempts at real-world jobs. It's entertaining to see their transformation, albeit a bit predictable. You get some decent performances from the young cast, who capture that blend of entitlement and eventual humility. The humor tends to lean on situational gags rather than sharp wit, but it works within the film's atmosphere. There's an earnestness in the message of valuing work and life, though it sometimes feels a tad too neat for my taste.
Light-hearted examination of privilege.Predictable but enjoyable character transformations.Situational humor with a slightly earnest message.
