Stop the Massacre

In Stop the Massacre, Tonin, also known as le Bourreau de l'Ardèche, becomes a wrestling champion by chance and moves to Paris. He finds himself entangled with Monsieur Bob, a nightclub owner and his former regimental buddy, who manipulates Tonin's victories in the ring for profit.

Amidst the chaos, Tonin encounters Wanda, the mistress of a gangster, who inspires him to reevaluate his life choices. Ultimately, he returns to his roots in the Ardèche, marrying the mayor's daughter after confronting the true nature of Bob's dangerous influence. This film blends comedy and drama in a narrative that explores themes of ambition, personal growth, and the pitfalls of fame.
