Stories Within

This mini-documentary series showcases the experiences of 14 individuals from the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in Texas. Through their narratives, the series responds to rising acts of violence and discrimination, emphasizing the importance of community and empowerment.

By sharing messages from their younger selves, the participants confront the racism and discrimination they have encountered, offering insights into resilience and hope. Stories Within breaks down the stereotype of a homogenous AA/PI experience, highlighting the varied backgrounds and unique contributions of this community to the sociocultural landscape of Texas and the United States as a whole.
