Striking The Palace

The story follows Eva, a 20-year-old who joins a group of chambermaids—Safietou, Djaoua, Violette, and Simone—at one of Paris's prestigious Palace Hotels. As they confront poor working conditions and fight for their rights, the film highlights the challenges faced by these invisible women, who keep the hotel running while earning meager wages. The narrative takes a creative turn as the chambermaids decide to organize their own "Fashion Week" in front of the hotel as a form of protest against subcontracting.
