Svatba na bitevním poli

Set in the small town of Zvěstov, Svatba na bitevním poli focuses on the local men who are deeply passionate about historical battles. Led by their mayor, Touchyn, portrayed by Bolek Polívka, they have long represented the French army, especially in their dedication to reenacting Napoleon's legacy.

As the town prepares for the unveiling of a Napoleonic fountain in the neighboring Podolí, tensions rise when Touchyn learns that the mayor of Podolí has hired a professional foreign actor to play Napoleon. Feeling threatened and offended, Touchyn attempts to rally his townspeople to boycott the event, leading to a humorous conflict as they grapple with their dedication to the performance and the fallout of their decision.
