Gustav and Lena Svensson are at a crossroads as they approach their 30-year wedding anniversary. Lena is fed up with Gustav's constant focus on sports, leading her to seek a divorce. However, Gustav remains oblivious to the impending crisis, believing their relationship is fine just a week before their anniversary.

In an effort to salvage their marriage, Lena gives Gustav one last chance on a weekend getaway. This trip is meant to help Gustav prioritize Lena over his passion for football. However, their plans go awry when football legend Tommy Franzén unexpectedly appears at their hotel, complicating matters for Gustav and testing his commitment to Lena.
