Sweet Dreams

Set in Turin in 1969, Sweet Dreams tells the story of nine-year-old Massimo, whose life is turned upside down by the sudden death of his mother. Refusing to accept her loss, he grapples with the emotional turmoil that follows. The narrative shifts to the 1990s, where the adult Massimo, now a journalist, faces panic attacks triggered by his past experiences while covering the war in Sarajevo.

As he prepares to sell his parents' apartment, Massimo must confront the painful memories of his childhood. With the help of compassionate doctor Elisa, he begins to unravel the psychological scars of his early years. The film dives deep into the impact of loss and the long journey towards healing, making it a poignant exploration of memory and trauma.
