The film follows Selma, a factory worker caring for her ill mother, who faces numerous challenges as she prepares to marry Dogan, an attorney from a wealthy family. When Dogan's father disapproves of their union, he enlists Despina, a brothel keeper, to sabotage the relationship. This leads to Dogan abandoning Selma for his cousin, leaving her to navigate a difficult path alone.

As Selma copes with the fallout, she becomes pregnant and turns to singing in a bar to support herself. A confrontation with Haydar, who attempts to assault her, results in Selma killing him in self-defense. Although she is arrested, the truth eventually comes to light in court, leading to a reunion between Selma, Dogan, and their child.
