The film follows forest engineer Ivan and scientist Julie as they navigate life after their wedding. They purchase a guesthouse and move in with Julie's daughter Kačka and her dachshund Hugo, but their focus on starting a family leads to the neglect of their business. This results in a lack of guests and mounting pressures on their relationship.

As Julie becomes increasingly despondent, she turns to a charlatan for help with her struggles, while the guesthouse suffers under the management of two incompetent women. Kačka, who has ADHD and a special bond with her dog, proposes a creative solution to attract visitors by transforming the guesthouse into a haven for dogs and their owners. This twist adds a fresh perspective on the challenges they face and highlights the importance of family and innovation.
