Tars and Spars

The film follows Howard Young, a coast guardsman stuck on shore duty for three years. Despite his desire to be on action, his most adventurous experience is a peculiar 21-day stint on a life raft as part of a government experiment with vitamin gum. This situation leads to a misunderstanding with Christine Bradley, a SPAR who takes over his job and mistakenly believes his life raft experience resulted from a shipwreck.
