Ten Thousand Waves

Ten Thousand Waves is a unique 9-screen installation that was shot on location in China. This film poetically intertwines stories that connect China's ancient history with its modern landscape, exploring themes of migration and unfinished journeys through its architectural presentation.

The work emerged from a four-year collaboration with prominent Chinese artists and features contributions from poet Wang Ping, master calligrapher Gong Fagen, and acclaimed cinematographer Zhao Xiaoshi. The film is supported by a rich original musical score created by Jah Wobble, The Chinese Dub Orchestra, and contemporary classical composer Maria de Alvear.
