The Ballad of Narayama

In a remote mountain village, a community faces a harsh reality where food scarcity leads to a tradition of carrying elderly family members to Narayama mountain to die when they reach the age of 70. The story centers around Granny Orin, who is nearing this age and accepts her fate with grace, while her family grapples with their emotions surrounding her impending death.
