Lucas Santos, known as El Santo, is a petty thief who is tired of his small-scale crimes. He envisions a grand heist that will propel him into the spotlight. With the support of his wife Lucia, who works as a stripper while he is incarcerated, Lucas assembles a group of petty criminals to attempt an audacious robbery.

Their target is nothing less than Picasso's iconic painting, Guernica, housed in the National Museum of Art Reina Sofía. The film weaves together elements of comedy and crime, reflecting on the absurdity of Lucas's quest for fame through art theft.
