The Black Hole

The film centers on the USS Palomino's crew, who, after an extended search for extraterrestrial life, discover the lost USS Cygnus stationed near a black hole. The Cygnus is controlled by Dr. Hans Reinhardt, a scientist with his own secretive agenda, and a menacing robot companion.
