The Boneyard Collection is this odd little anthology that's got a bit of everything you might not expect. It's playful but manages to get weirdly dark, which I find fascinating. Each segment has its own vibe. The first short, BOOGIE WITH THE UNDEAD, is just a fun romp with this all-girl rock band facing off against zombies, and it’s got a certain campy charm that works. Then you dive into THE DEVIL'S DUE AT MIDNIGHT, which takes a turn with witches and a kind of sinister atmosphere that's surprisingly engaging. The practical effects, though not always top-notch, have a certain nostalgia that vintage horror fans might appreciate. You can tell the filmmakers are just having fun, which makes it feel a bit more special. Plus, the host segments tie it all together in a quirky way.
