The Bridge

The Bridge tells the story of an elite team of Partizans who are tasked with destroying a strategically important bridge to halt a German offensive. The bridge, however, is heavily guarded and nearly indestructible. The only person who knows its weak spots is the architect who designed it, but he is hesitant to assist due to his attachment to the bridge.

This film features a cast that includes Velimir Živojinović, Slobodan 'Cica' Perović, and Boris Dvornik, among others. Its focus on engineering and the moral dilemmas faced by its characters adds depth to the action-packed narrative. The film's Yugoslavian context and its World War II setting provide a unique angle within the war genre.
