The Chosen Few 2: The Life of an AFL Captain

This documentary presents a deep exploration of AFL club captains over a 90-minute runtime. Filmmaker Peter Dickson spent ten months researching and conducting interviews, resulting in more than 100 hours of footage from about 50 locations across Australia.

The film features insights from captains of 17 AFL clubs, alongside contributions from their partners, family members, and leadership experts. The documentary aims to shed light on the complexities of leadership within the sport, providing viewers with a unique perspective on the responsibilities and challenges faced by these athletes. Notably, Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett chose not to participate in the film.
