The D Word

The film revolves around Dot, an artistic director, and her partner Dina, who is looking for a sperm donor. They host a party to connect with potential candidates among their close-knit group of friends, each bringing their own unique dynamics and drama to the occasion.

The characters include Daynisha, a closeted WNBA player; Dixie, a bisexual journalist; and Drea, a charismatic butch dog groomer. Other notable friends are Dex, Dot's younger FTM musician sibling, and Dim, their neighbor who coaches chess.
