The Dam Is Broken

Set in the 1920s, The Dam Is Broken tells the story of Vasyl, a poor peasant who stands up against the oppressive lord's authorities. Captured while hunting, he finds himself imprisoned, but his beloved Lesia rallies the villagers to help free him. As tensions rise, they open the dam, causing a flood that disrupts the lord's manor and allows Vasyl to escape.

The film features performances by Heiri Emirzade, Nina Li, and V. Kolpashnikov, bringing to life the struggles of rural communities during this tumultuous period.
