The Deposit

The Deposit follows Gisella, a journalist who leaves her job after facing editorial censorship. Determined to write meaningful articles, she connects with a new alternative newspaper, focusing on the living conditions of immigrants. Her research leads her to Marisol and Abeba, who, along with her daughter Lucinda, are struggling in a precarious living situation.

Gisella invites them to stay in her inherited house, hoping to alleviate their financial burdens. Initially, the arrangement seems beneficial, but as time passes, the atmosphere shifts from camaraderie to conflict. The film delves into the evolving relationships between the characters, highlighting how hospitality can quickly turn into a struggle for power and control.
