The Etude

This short film follows two young theatre actors tasked with creating an étude. Their rehearsal process leads them to reflect on a true event from their lives as they seek peace within themselves.

As they explore the beauty found in small details, they confront their fears regarding death and discover a deeper understanding of life. The narrative delves into the interplay between memory and existence, culminating in a poignant reflection on beginnings and endings.

The Etude showcases the artistic vision of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, highlighting the influence of avant-garde cinema through its connection to Jonas Mekas.
