The Ghost Story: Lotus the Beauty

The film presents two stories. In the first tale, An Sheng, a kind-hearted man, helps an old musk deer, which leads to his own demise in a snake spirit's maze. In return for his kindness, the deer’s daughter, Hua Gu Zi, seeks vengeance on the spirit to save him.

The second story follows Teacher Zong Xiangruo, who has an affection for lotus flowers but finds himself married to a fox girl spirit. After witnessing her suffering due to the actions of a wandering monk, Zong Xiangruo pleads for her release. In gratitude, the fox girl helps him connect with the Third Lady of Lotus, fulfilling his dreams of love.
