The House Without a Key

This film is a Pathé serial consisting of ten chapters, each in two-reel format. The story follows Dan Winterslip, a wealthy man living in Honolulu, who has been estranged from his brother for over twenty years. The arrival of their sister Minerva from Boston aims to reconcile the brothers, but the plot thickens when Dan is murdered.

As the mystery unfolds, John Quincy Winterslip, Dan's nephew, is drawn into the intrigue by a letter instructing him to dispose of a mysterious box. His journey to retrieve the box leads him aboard a ship to Hawaii, where other passengers are also after its contents. The renowned detective Charlie Chan steps in to investigate Dan's murder and the secret of the box, adding another layer to this thrilling tale.
