The Hybrid: Nue no ko

Chiaki returns to her hometown of Nuegabuchi, a hot spring village steeped in legends about a creature known as the nue. Alongside her friend Mai, she navigates unsettling memories tied to her past, particularly the haunting cries of the monster that echo in the night. The narrative deepens when it is revealed that Sawatsukumori, the man responsible for her father's death, has recently been released from prison and is now missing.

The film also introduces Kyogoku, a magazine editor who is entangled in the hunt for the nue, taking orders from a mysterious woman.
