The Inventor

The Inventor tells the story of Jakob, an obsessive inventor whose innovative ideas are not appreciated by the villagers around him. Jakob's only ally is his friend Otti, portrayed by Walo Lüönd, who supports him through his struggles.

Jakob's groundbreaking invention, a carriage that operates on a tread instead of wheels, showcases his determination and ingenuity. However, his triumph is short-lived as the military introduces the tank, rendering his invention obsolete. This crushing blow leads to Jakob's mental breakdown and subsequent institutionalization, illustrating the harsh realities faced by visionaries in a rapidly changing world.
